Here is one of the poems featured in the collection, it’s called Prayers:
Prayers
I turn to You
Almighty
In supplication
Humbling myself Celebrating your mercy Laying down the Ego
Because more than rituals
And memorized recitations
Is communication with You
Relationship with You
And when Your grace rains down upon me Like fresh water,
And purifies my aching heart,
Calms my raging soul,
I am new
The struggle it took to put my burdens down To simply turn to You in prayer
Was more than a mercy
And every time I seek You
My better self triumphs over the worst parts of me
And I change
Transform-
Into more
There is no god worthy of worship besides Allah
And my prayers become the river rushing towards the ocean of belief
Where I find rest;
Where I bask under the warm rays of the sun
