New from writer/story-teller Elizabeth Lymer, author of Islamic Nursery Rhymes and Hajj Harmonies.
Religious Rhyme Time! Nursery Rhymes About Early Believers is a newly released children’s book from Mindworks Publishing that was developed when author Elizabeth Lymer decided that she wanted to use historical nursery rhymes with her children about events relevant to nurturing belief in, and worship of, God.
“I wanted a repertoire of religious rhymes that my Christian parents and I could enjoy with their Muslim and Christian grandchildren,” she says.
Religious Rhyme Time! is the first volume of a series of books entitled Early Believers: Abrahamic Children’s Books for Jews, Christians, Muslims and Global Citizens, a collection designed with a vision of facilitating harmony, mutual support, and connection between diverse Abrahamic families and friends.
Ms. Lymer has been writing for twenty years and has co-edited the poetry anthology The Muslimah Speaks: Her Voice, Her Spirit, Volume 1 by Mindworks Publishing in April 2014 in addition to having her poetry published within the collection.
She hopes that readers will discover the joy of harmonizing with creation – including people of different religions – to celebrate, remember, and live for God … from the cradle to the grave.
